MANILA, Philippines – For the first time in Miss Universe history, a Filipino-crafted crown will grace the head of the new queen!
The crown, named Lumière de l’Infini or The Light of Infinity, was revealed by the Miss Universe organization in partnership with the esteemed Filipino jewelry brand, Jewelmer.
In an Instagram post, the “radiant creation” is described to “celebrate women’s empowerment and embody the eternal journey of transformational leadership.”
Dubbed the National Gem of the Philippines, the luminous pearl takes centerstage in the creation.
“Caressed by the sun’s rays, the sea generously offers us a magical gift — the rare golden South Sea pearl, the National Gem of the Philippines,” Jewelmer wrote, describing the heart of the crown as a “miracle” created in 377 steps over five years — a treasure brought to life by the “most pristine environment” in Palawan waters and with the utmost human care.
“This precious gem embodies the brilliance of our co-existence with Mother Nature. As long as there is a pearl, there is life shining through every moment.”
Jewelmer’s Lumière de l’Infini Crown is a first-of-its-kind masterpiece, handcrafted by Filipino artisans using traditional techniques inspired by Place Vendôme, France’s renowned hub of fine jewelry.
It is a symbol of the Philippines’ rich natural beauty and Jewelmer’s dedication to sustainable luxury.
Since its founding in 1979, Jewelmer has championed the South Sea Pearl with its range of responsible luxury jewelry, while preserving the natural beauty of the Philippines.
Miss Universe Philippines 2024 Chelsea Manalo will represent the country at the Miss Universe 2024 coronation night at Arena CDMX in Mexico City, Sunday, November 17, 10 am, Philippine time.
