MANILA, Philippines – Residents of the Philippines’ capital city have a mountain of problems they have to face on a daily basis: garbage, traffic, floods, housing, taking care of senior citizens. And then there’s politics.
In 2022, their mayor who was serving them well, Isko Moreno, left city hall to run for president — unsuccessfully. They believed he wasn’t coming back, until he’s in the running again for city hall’s top seat.
