Villegas aces first test
Aira Villegas advances to the round of 16 of the women’s 50kg class after a unanimous decision win over Morocco’s Yasmine Mouttaki.
The five judges all scored in Villegas’ favor, 30-27, 29-28, 29-28, 29-28, 29-28.
Villegas faces second seed Roumaysa Boualam of Algeria next on Thursday, August 1 (Friday, August 2, Manila time).
