Enteng (Yagi), the Philippines’ fifth tropical cyclone for 2024, triggered moderate to torrential rain in much of Luzon and Eastern Visayas as a tropical storm. It made landfall in Casiguran, Aurora, then crossed parts of Luzon before emerging over the West Philippine Sea, where it intensified into a severe tropical storm.
Enteng left the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Wednesday, September 4, three days after it developed inside PAR on Sunday, September 1. Following its exit, it strengthened into a typhoon.
While Enteng already left PAR, its trough or extension is still bringing rain and it continues to enhance the southwest monsoon or habagat.
