MANILA, Philippines – It’s official: South Korea’s homegrown Waterbomb Festival is making its way to Manila in 2025.
The inaugural edition of Waterbomb Manila is set to take place on February 8 to 9, 2025 at Metrowalk Ortigas in Pasig.
As of writing, organizers have yet to announce the artist lineup, ticket prices, and event guidelines. This article will be updated once more information about Waterbomb Manila will be released.
Waterbomb Manila was first confirmed in July when it was announced that the Philippines will be one of the festival’s stops for its world tour. Aside from the Philippines, the Waterbomb Festival will also be brought to Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, and the United Arab Emirates.
Since it started in 2015, the Waterbomb Festival has became a summer staple in South Korea. Its a music festival that primarily features Korean hip-hop and RNB artists and K-pop stars, with both the performers and audiences getting soaked through water cannons and water guns.
Among those who performed in the festival’s previous editions include BLACKPINK, Twice’s Nayeon, Kwon Eunbi, Mamamoo’s Hwasa, Sandara Park, aespa, Jessi, SHINee’s Taemin and Minho, and Jay Park, among others.
Aside from South Korea, the Waterbomb Festival has also expanded to countries like Japan, China, and the United States. – Rappler.com
